What's happening now with Interactive Bellingham

INTERACTIVE BELLINGHAM AWARDED GRANT to create an art installation at the Wild Buffalo House of Music for Bellingham EXIT Festival October 9-13, 2024

A Bit About The Project:

Welcome to The Alchemy Plant, a post-industrial factory where magical machines are made. Dripping with the detritus of Bellingham's past, The Alchemy Plant transforms our fears and tribulations into playful joy. A little bit creepy, and lots weirdly wonderful, The Alchemy Plant dares us to create an inclusive future for Bellingham through reuse, interaction, and playful imagination.

DESCRIPTION

EXIT Festival provides an exciting opportunity for Interactive Bellingham, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to have a place-based pilot project to test interest and build enthusiasm to build a Meow Wolf-type large-scale, playful art facility in Bellingham. Interactive Bellingham’s board includes some long-time community builders, and we’re here for the long haul to employ working artists, re-use our historic industrial materials, and create a more playful, inclusive future for our community.  EXIT Fest is our second community-based project, after our IDEA ROVER, and interactive experience on two wheels, now installed at Bellis Fair Mall. .
